Stevie is not an Octopus

Hello!
It’s been a while, hasn’t it.

My life is good, I’m currently doing NaNoWriMo*. I’m not doing the greatest but I’m not behind by much and so far my novel is being very strange indeed. I’ve…

This is the Temporary book cover for my NaNoWriMo 2009 Novel: Felicity’s Cardboard Spaceship Adventure… which I think is a marvelous step up from Felicity’s Epic Adventure. (Plus if I ever feel like I need more words I can separate the card from the board and the space from the ship)
*shrug*
I might change this when I’m awake and have better judgment.

Okay so if any body can guess that this blog is about V for Vendetta, they will get a cookie. (Ah! Too late now, I already gave you the answer.)

Any who, I watched V for Vendetta today for the first…

Tales of the "all of the above" child

Okay, my family is a bit complacated.

My dad has two daughters, and my mom has one. Then they got married and together they have two. Does that make any sense?

Yeah, so I have three older sisters and one younger. With my dad’s kids I’m the youngest middle child. With my mom’s I’m the middle child. And with my parents I’m the oldest. So I just go with being in the middle.

Not to mention, that since they were half siblings, I was raised for the first ten years of my life as an only child. So I’ve been everything.

If I could think of a better title I would: I'd hangout more with the Drama Kids

I’ve always loved preforming on stage.

Especially acting, but when I moved to my new city school plays weren’t so popular (heck, my high school doesn’t even have a talent show!). In fact I didn’t even know my school had plays until my sophomore year when I saw a bunch of band students wearing ‘Cinderella’ shirts.

This past year I’ve heard a lot about the musical only because I’m friends with a bunch of band geeks. When I showed in interest in auditioning for next years play I was repeatedly shut down. Not because people thought I couldn’t act (honestly no one I know here has seen me on stage) but because they said that the drama kids were a very elite group.

And honestly I never received an e-mail asking for a school-wide audition. The director would either ask for stage hands, make-up artist, ect. but no auditions. After looking at the cast list I realized that at least 80% of the cast were people involved with the music department.

If I could go back to freshmen year I would have tried to get more involved with the plays. (Though I will NEVER be a band geek or sing - been there done that & will do it no more.) It’s not fair, but hey that’s life.

But there is a silver lining - though a thin one - my church preforms some drama’s. They are few and far between, but I’ve been able to get involved. Though not as much as I’d like (I was sick for the last one). And then there’s YouTube - again I can’t be involved with it as much as I like (I need a new camera) but it’s a way to try acting again and I do have a few cool ideas (which need to be fleshed out).

Not to mention, there’s always college.

If only… get used to me being melodramatic when I listen to music because I tend to be.

I love this song =D

A Summer of Firsts ... hopefully =]

Just some things I want to do this Summer. Oh and I’m now using this cool site called Plinky, where they give me prompts and I write a blog about the topic they give. One a day. Do you think I can do this everyday for the rest of the Summer?

Ride a Rollar Coaster
I’ve never been on a roller coaster, but have been wanting to for a few years now.

Create Art
I really want to get better at my art. I feel like I’ve wasted two years with an Art teacher who didn’t teach anything to us. Honestly my art has changed more dramatically in the bast three weeks then since I’ve had Mr. K as a teacher. I want to make up that wasted time by creating art.

This also includes writing, though on a less dramatic scale I simply want to get started on my book. And it’s proving to be a tough challenge. =]

Lastly, I want to get a camera. And if I do get that camera I want to start making videos and/or Vlogs every week or so.

Read 10+ Books
My library has a Summer Reading list every year, and if you read ten books you get a prize. I tried to do this last year but didn’t make it. So this year I’m vowing to read the ten books and more. If that means I have to break out A Series of Unfortunate Events books, I will. =]

Get my Ears Pierced
I’ve never had my ears pierced and I feel like it, Gosh! (I quote Napoleon Dynamite way too much… lolz.)

Girl by ~Exemi on deviantART
I copied this picture in my sketchbook… it wasn’t that great (I made the girls face a bit too wide and the eyes a bit too big) but I drew the best nose I have ever drawn… maybe one day I’ll scan it so you can see.
I love the simplistity of this drawing though, there is no real neck, the hair is whispy and see through - provideding more of a fame for a face then a feature of the picture. I love the look in her eyes and how she’s just stareing at you not really expecting anything but perhaps wanting something.
